TOPIC: Change boot order

Change boot order 3 years 8 months ago #1013

How can I change the boot order. I knew how to do it in Grub, but Grub2 has me stumped.

thanks but it does not help. whenever i type grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg as root in the terminal there is no response - If i try typing it in grub then I get unrecognized command :-(

OK so I just let the mkconfig command sit for a while and it did finally run. I am now looking without success for
/etc/default/grub which does not appear. Any suggestions?

Hi cabalinho,

take a look in /boot/grub/grub.cfg.
Search for the line:
set default="0"
Set this value to your needs.

Greetings
