I've managed to keep my system upgraded from an installation using your
Toorox_08_2008 DVD. Just finished emerging KDE 4.2.1.

Somewhere along the way I have lost the toorox menu Items: 'Starter' and 'Systemconfig'
Both were nice, and unique. I haven't seen either on another distro.

I suppose I could download the latest DVD and analyze it, to understand what happened.

Is there an easier way to recover these items?
I see nothing in the packages available, relating to them.
Menu item:
kfmclient openProfile Starter
and
kfmclient openProfile Systemconfig
offer no help to me.

Any guidance will be appreciated.

The profiles are stored in your old .kde4.1 directory.
After upgrading KDE to 4.2.x you should rename .kde4.1 into
.kde4.2 and restart KDE.

Unfortunately, I had already purged the 4.1 directories.

I did find the old DVD and due to your input, located what I needed.
For any other people with this problem, here are the directories to copy
while booted into the live DVD:

/home/user/.kde4.2/share/apps/konqueror/profiles
/home/user/.kde/share/Starter
/home/user/.kde/share/Systemconfig

I did have to correct a couple of symlinks from 4.1 to 4.2 as my DVD is old.
I assume no problems from a 4.2 DVD.
