Can I ask questions in English here ? :)

It finds my hard disks and DVD-Ram but I receive the # prompt when booting from Live DVD + an error: Accessing Live-DVD ... mounting /dev/loop0 on /LINUX failed: invalid argument

My PC is AMD Athlon 2100+, Asus A7V333 motherboard, Nvidia 6800 XT video card, DVD GSA-4163B & GCC-4480B
The administrator has disabled public write access.

Hi jolato,

i have moved your posting into the english section. :)

It seems that your DVD device has not been detected correctly. Before the error message appears, have you seen a lot of device names:
Looking for DVD in ... /dev/hdc1 /dev/hdc2 /dev/hdc3
and so on?
Did you verify the md5sum of the .iso file?
Try to decrease the burning speed to 4x.

Hi,

Yes, it first Enables DMA for my HD and 2 DVD drives. Then it continues "Looking for DVD in /dev/sd0, ..."

Then "Accessing Live-DVD at /dev/hdd .... mount: mounting /dev/loopp0 on /LINUX failed: invalid argument"

"Can't find LINUX filesystem, sorry"

Ok, I will verify the checksum, but How ? :unsure:

Not that I am not capable of doing this, but I don't know where to start. :unsure:

Did you try booting with the other DVD drive ( should be /dev/hdc )?
Ok, I will verify the checksum, but How ?
On a Linux machine - open a terminal (konsole) and change to the directory
of the .iso image:
cd /.../.../downloads
then type in:
md5sum Toorox_06.2009.iso
it takes a few seconds then it will show you the result.
Compare this with the md5sum in the Download section.
Most burning applications have an option for calculating the md5sum of a file, too.
Check it out ...
