Please help,

I have downloaded the latest live version of Toorox and the installation seems fine

until I try to login.


Login: OK


Password: When I try to enter the password (user) the cursor flashes but no letters are printed.

My Processor is AMD 64 Athlon X2.

Graphic Board: Nvidia Getforce 7600 GT

KeyBoard: Connected via PS/2.

Hi Martin,
When you type in the password, there is no screen output - it is hidden!
Just type in the password and hit the Enter key and you will see the successful login.
But your problem is another one - by default there is an autologin and the Desktop should be loaded automatically. I think the hardware detection for your VGA chip has failed. The correct driver for your chip is nv - so when you are in the Toorox boot menu, navigate to the correct resolution line for your display, hit the TAB key and attach the following cheatcode at the end:Then hit Enter.

Still can not login.

I have tried all the suggestions you put foreward.

One thing I have notice is when I xmodule= nv instead of getting the = sign it

is coming up with the ' sign.

In winxp I have no trouble.

Any ideas?

When you see the login: then login as user:root pw:root
Now type in:This will take a few minutes ... then type in:and go to Section "Device"

No it still does not work.

hmm, did you really entered nvidia-drivers or nvidia-driver?
