a) how to find new .ISO lite? the last one is 2011\august

b) do the installer has BTRFS support?

c) how to put it on USB?

sorry by my pressure but I need to install ASAP on 6 boxes(primary school) so I need quick answer

Trx8.2011 xfce is in the moment the only light version.
Jörn is working on Trx 3.2012 with kde 4.8.x.
With btrfs Support. I think the next step can be a new xfce complete and maybe light.
but its not sure.please wait for a post from Jörn.
Please Look on the Trx live Desktop, there is a tool to Install Trx on a USB stick.

yes , i think the Kernel 2.6.39-gentoo-r3 supports btrfs.

I don't have dvd rom,just usb so need to install it from .ISO to USB directly

My first idea is:
To Boot trx direct from iso in Virtual Box ! Then you can use the Desktop Tool to create a Trx USB Stick.
But its only possible with a Real USB Support in your VM.
Maybe rolandx1 has an other idea.

Hi privatefirstclass,

btrfs:

btrfs support was built as a kernel module - so you can mount
a btrfs filesystem but you can't install Toorox on btrfs - not yet.

live-usb:

please download and use the toorox-iso2usb script to make a live
usb drive. It requires the following packages: xdialog, gawk, syslinux,
parted. Make sure that these packags are installed.
