I got the iso image - and now?

Start your preferred burning application and put an empty disc into your dvd-writer. Now search and start the option "Burn iso image to disc" and choose the Toorox .iso file. Start the burning process and if it is finished restart your computer. If booting from dvd fails and you dont see the menu on your display, you have to change the boot options by opening the BIOS and search for the "1st Boot" and "2nd Boot" entry. 1st Boot should be "cdrom" or "cdrom,a,c".

I see only a blank screen while booting!?

Press the TAB key in the start menu and then move the cursor to "vga=791". Change it to "vga=normal" then hit return and press the "b" key.

How can I activate the sound?

Click the small speaker symbol and the "Mixer" button. Uncheck the Front and PCM mute options and raise the speaker volume to your needs. You should always activate your soundcard by clicking on Systemconfig -> Soundcard. A small application starts and you have to choose your Soundchip.

How can I see the content of my harddisks?

All partitions are shown on the desktop in the box "fixed Devices". When you click on a device it will be opened via the filemanager.

How can I connect to the internet?

While the system is booting, it should detect your networkcard and loads the necessary driver automatically. You can change the network configuration by clicking on the network symbol in the panel. Here you can setup any type of connections: Cablebound, Wireless, Mobile Broadband, VPN and DSL Dialup.
