I tried running toorox on my laptop. it runs fine. the only problem I have is I can't get my wireless to work. I'm running an acer extenza dual core laptop with a broadcom 4311 wireless card. can anyone tell me how to get the wireless to start working? thanks

When you click on Systemconfig -> LAN,WLAN, can you choose a device wlan0:? If not - first open a terminal and load the driver for your chip:
sudo modprobe b43
or
sudo modprobe b43legacy
Again Systemconfig -> LAN,WLAN - wlan0: now there?
Then your card needs a special firmware to work - look at this site:
linuxwireless.org/en/users/Drivers/b43#firmware_installation
Copy the firmware as described to /lib/firmware and then it should work
