bodycode OFFLINE Fresh Boarder Newbie Linux'r Posts: 13	I'm sure that I'm doing something wrong here. All Sun Java stuff is installed, but Netbeans 6.91 through 7 absolutely fails! Anyone know how to install it on Trx 2011 KDE? Thanks in advance.

You forgot to tell us, which package failed to compile ;)
Next time please post min the last 20 lines of the failed output.
I've find out that it was dev-java/netbeans-platform-7.0.
First do this:

emerge ant-nodeps

I've found a bug report here:
bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=361439
So, you have to do a:

export -n DISPLAY

and then:

emerge netbeans

Don't forget to set the development langs in /etc/make.conf:
Add a line:
NETBEANS_MODULES="cnd" (example for C++)
If the compile process fails later again, you should install the sun-jdk
package after you agree this license:
