Invisble mouse pointer on 2nd. monitor with Radeon 1 year 11 months ago #1188

After installing the ATI driver and creating a dual monitor config with the ATI Catalyst control panel, the mouse pointer on the 2nd. monitor is invisible.

Anyone know the solution to this?

Add the following line to /etc/X11/xorg.conf in
Section "Device":
Option "SWCursor" "1"
The administrator has disabled public write access.

No sir. Does not work, the mouse pointer is still invisible. I get two distinct desktops because I configured them properly, however, the mouse pointer completely disappears when moving the mouse to the second monitor. Of course, I restarted X.

I even tried 2 as the value, instead of 1, no luck, and didn't change a thing. 2 happens to be the monitor (2nd monitor in ATI Catylist) where the mouse goes invisible. What next?

Dual monitors does work however.

Ah! There are TWO device entries, one for PCI card and one for FGLRX. I simply moved the SW cursor 1 to the second Device entry and it works! Didn't have to do your last instructions.

Thanks again, you're great :) Problem solved.

I will NOT go back to Windows as my main OS ever again.

Maybe dual boot but for development, it's Toorox all the way :)
