I try to boot my computer with DVD live.
All works perfect (no error and all devices detectetd ) till Kdm.
It asks for username very quickly then it stays in black screen.
At upleft corner, i see the cursor which doesn't blink at all.what happen?

My grafic card is Atiradeon 9250 detected correctly at boot.As screen i have a CRT 60hz (i've choose standard at the beginning).

Okay,

step by step:

-Press the TAB key in the start menu of Toorox and then move the cursor to "vga=791". Change it to "vga=normal" then hit return and press the "b" key. (From the FAQ)

-When the screen is black, press Ctrl-Alt-F1 at sametime. Now you should see the login:

-Login as root

-Now type in:
>mcedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf

and search the line:
Section "Device".

-Change the
Driver "ati" line to
Driver "radeon"
and hit the F2 key and then F10 to exit.

-Now type in:
>killall kdm
and then type in:
>kdm

Do you see that KDE is starting up now?
If not - edit xorg.conf again and change the
Driver "radeon" line to
Driver "vesa"
and try it again with:
>killall kdm
>kdm

but password goes so fast that i can't do nothing with.
After this: black screen.
I've try Ctrl+alt+F1, nothing happen!
By the way, where should i type "b"? after assigning vga to normal many command scroll!

Okay, then the other way:

1. Start Toorox (default)
2. You see INIT is starting
3. When you see "Press I to enter interactive boot mode" and your keyboard is connected via PS/2, press "I" now. If your keyboard is connected via USB, hit the "I" key after the "Waiting for uevents to be processed" task has finished.
Now before the system is starting a new service, it will ask you what to do 1),2),3),4).
Press "1" till you see the "About to start the service xdm" then press "2" to skip that service. Next press "1" again.
Now you should see the login:

After you have modified xorg.conf (changing the Driver line), type in:

>/etc/init.d/xdm start
