I have just installed TOOROX KDE in a couple of my computers and it looks really good.
I like very much what I see and just have a few things to figure out.
I have not figured out how to make Skype install.

I am new to TOOROX but have been "into" Linux for quite a while.
I am no GURU but I get along ok mostly. I have usually been running Slackware but new to this.
I tried to use both Portato and emerge but was unable as there seems to be something to do that I have not figured out how to do.

Maybe someone will kind and send me some hints.

i have no skype in my trx , but look under:
packages.gentoo.org/package/net-im/skype

there is a skype pack for gentoo from march 2011.
I think it is running under trx 2011

im not sure but i think you schould run a system-upgrade before: eix-sync && emerge -avuND world
could take some hours/days .... :)

i have installed the toorox 2/2011 and try to install skype.

there was a little few problems... (copy and paste :D )

add in the make.conf this line:
then you must the package unmask...

in the /etc/portage/ is no license-file. create one for use with skype :)
then unmask in package.umask (attension, the package.umask is a directory)
and finally use the right useflags (found with google)
now you can install skype with
and you should become a installed sykpe beta in the version 2.2.0.25.
it is to find in the menu under internet-tools :)

I have Toorox and when I installed Skype everything went absolutely smooth and fine with me and my computer. Anyway thanks for your advices guys if I face Skype problems I'll turn to this thread!
